How the score works
Six areas, two questions each. Every answer scores 0 to 3, from “not started” to “proven with real customers”. Areas carry different weights, because evidence from real customers matters more than a polished plan.
Digital presence
Customers cannot choose what they cannot find. This area checks whether people can discover you and reach you online.

Customer interaction
Opinions are cheap; actions are evidence. This area checks how much real contact and commitment you have from customers.

Four stages, and two safeguards
Your score places you in one of four stages. Two rules stop a high score from hiding a gap: without real customer conversations, or without a clear customer and problem, your stage is capped at Early validation. And a set of red-flag checks warns you about risky combinations, such as planning large spending before customers have shown any commitment.
Idea stage
You are at the start. Focus on understanding customers before building or spending.
Early validation
You have some signals. Turn assumptions into evidence with real customer conversations and small tests.
Build & test
Your foundations are forming. Strengthen the weakest areas and test pricing and delivery with real customers.
Launch-ready
Your evidence is strong across the areas. Focus on launching carefully and tracking results.
